Left without money or hope after their significant other took everything they had, they had no where to go. After a stay in a mental hospital due to declining health, they reached out to BAHS.
We were happy to bring them in and provide safe housing in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Unfortunately, another mental health episode lead them back to the hospital early on.
However, they were able to return to BAHS and find multiple community partners to help them stand strong. From local churches to education groups, Burlington stood beside them and gave this individual the community they needed. Thank you, Burlington.
After a few months of trials, attempts, failures, and successes, this person saved their money and was able to secure housing.
